The AI-enabled SDET: what modern QA looks like

An AI-enabled SDET combines classic test automation with AI test agents: generating test cases from requirements, self-healing broken selectors, and evaluating the behaviour of LLM and agent features. The result is wider coverage and faster releases as code volume grows.

Why QA had to change

AI-assisted development produces more code, faster. Manual and script-only testing cannot keep pace, and AI features need new kinds of tests.

The new toolkit

Playwright, Selenium, Katalon, Tosca and Cucumber remain the base, extended with AI agents for test generation and evaluation frameworks for LLM output.
